Carson has had a lot of hiccups too. And gas lol. I have a pump but I hate it. Its so painful to pump. I'd rather just nurse. I was pumping a little to help my milk come in. I can get about 2oz all together. Its great that you can get 4!!![luckygrl]

Ok, that kind of makes me upset. Now, all of sudden, he wants to be apart of your life. He wasn't there before, but now, that you have had the baby, he's all gung-ho for being in your life. [cheryl12]

The pump doesn't get as much out as a baby will when nursing. And right now your supply is based on hormones, not demand. In a couple of weeks you wont get that "full" feeling anymore, which is good because that can hurt![VanityDespair]

if you are able to use the breast pump on one side while he is nursing on the other side, your milk will come down easier. and it's normal that your breasts fill back up, because your body will make whatever is expressed either thru nursing or pumping. and in the beginning is always the hardest with filling up to uncomfortable levels, because you are not yet "leveled" out with the exact amount the baby takes. it evens out and becomes more comfortable. i always had trouble with the pump if i wasn't nursing at the same time, so i would nurse her, have the pump hooked up to the other side, and i'd get a good 6 to 8 ounces of milk each time to store for another feeding.
good luck.[terriberri]

Try Mylicon. Its baby gas drops. You can use it as often as necessary, so no worries about overmedicating your little one. Sometimes it takes a while for their little systems to straighten out.[VanityDespair]

You look a wholllllle lot better than some women I've seen after giving birth, or just in general. Anyway, hope to see more pictures. Simply put, upload pics onto photobucket, copy second link and paste in the little photo above the winking smiley face, preview to make sure it works ^.^. I totally want to see your baby. I am a cigg smoker to so I am curious, how much did you smoke a day? I would be so scared something would happen o.o
OmG, I hope Isaiah is fine, tha sounds gross, but it could be worse. Due to doctors faults, her baby has cerebral palsy :(.

So, to post pictures, you'll have to upload to a website (like photobucket.com). Then, you copy the HTML code. The beginning of the code should have this "<." Then click the "<>" when you are typing your entry on this. It will show plain text. Just paste the code. About the vacuum, I think the blame is more on the doctor rather than the hospital. He should have known (by your body's rhythm) before you started pushing that you would need a Cesarean.[cheryl12]

*poopie* I hope you do not have ot be induced either. *UGG* Pitocin is really, really no fun at all! Rather natural labor than induced... Induced is quite intense! I am praying for a smooth delivery for you, and also that the method of pain relief works! I laughed at the comment about you going into labor at 1:00 a.m. the day they plan to induce you... that's how my luck usually goes too! Whatever day or time he decides to come, I hope you do not have to be induced, but it is so worth it. It took me awile to be able to say that for myself due to the complications of both pregnancy and labor. Everyone kept telling me it would be worth it and you know what? It so is. Never have I felt such instant love and attraction for anything before. I hope that same joy finds you when you see that little boy! Wendy [OneOutOfMany]

They wouldnt do an amnio, probably just a non-stress test. With my braxton hicks, it felt like I couldnt breathe. It could be the top of your uterus contracting. What irony! I know, all you want is a little appreciation for the things you do. And well, it's clear he doesn't possess the same work ethic as you, with issues of job commitment. I don't think you mean you will actually file for legal separation, I'm assuming you are saying that out of anger. No offense to Dave - he needs to grow up, and become a little more considerate of you. I wonder how he would manage doing all those things by himself. [cheryl12]

You should really tell him how you are feeling. I feel like that with my husband. I cook, clean do everything while he is at work during the summer. Once winter rolls around I go to work and he doesn't do half the stuff that I do for him. Although I feel like freaking out half the time I have to remind myself that I do love him and he does do some things for me...usually when I get on his case or ask him...we talk alot about how we are feeling and that's what has been working for us. It won't get better after the baby if you keep those feelings bottled up. Because not only will you be doing what youve been doing at 40 weeks preggo, you'll be doing a million other things for the baby...so anyway I hope things get better! Good luck again![jennay]

Ha Ha Ha. Your comment about the grunting thing was hilarious... only because David did actually ask me if she was alright when he heard her grunting so much. Trying to explain to him that she is just discovering her vocal cords was impossible. Just wait till she's a teenager! That man is going to kill himself with worrying about is this or is that normal! Wendy P.S. Sorry to hear the baby boy hasn't arrived yet... Like you said, he'll come just when he wants to, though for your sake I hopes it's soon. I know how hard it was when we were getting down to those last days... though Raeanna was nearly 4 weeks early (we knew she was going to be). Her actual due date is this Friday... That's very strange to think about when I do stop and think about it. She's still supposed to be in my body and here I am, having been able to enjoy her nearly 3 weeks now. I truly hope your delivery goes smoothly for you, whenever it does come. I think I remember you saying his weight was estimated around 7 pounds right? I've heard of so many 9 pounders lately I cannot imagine delivering a baby THAT large! I hope all goes well and that you and baby are healthy. Best advice would be for you to get as much rest as you can NOW, but I'm sure you've been told that one already right? Have a great day! [OneOutOfMany]

I'm the same way. Unfortunately, I had a few surprise visitors who sat in the room with me while I was in labor and made comments every time I had a contraction. It was really awkward and I think the stress of it all actually stalled my labor. I'm sure your hospital will have a waiting room, so if it makes you uncomfortable ask them to wait there. Its important that you feel comfortable during the process. And I have to give you this link... I let my boyfriend smoke around me during part of my pregnancy, not thinking much of it, but it really is horrible for the baby. You can't erase time, but I really hope that you try to make a smoke-free environment for your little bundle once he arrives. It can produce lasting effects. http://www.babycenter.com/0_how-smoking-during-pregnancy-affects-you-and-your-baby_1405720.bc [VanityDespair]

Thanks for not flipping out! Though I would have understood if you did lol. That's good that there is nothing wrong with your baby!! I really wasn't trying to pick on ya, I just get aggravated sometimes! To reply to jennay's comment, if you stopped drinking early in the pregnancy, the baby will not probably suffer any deformities associated with alcohol drinking. Alcohol effect on pregnancy is not cumulative. The most common hazards of smoking are preterm dlivery, with its sequelae (but you have made it to your due date), and the delivery of growth retarded fetus. If you are having regular prenatal care and proper ultrasound scanning(and you have), you should know by now the status of her baby's growth. If diagnosed with growth retardation or have any sign of preterm labor, there should be adequate facility to transfer you the to hospital without delay. It looks like you have not had any issues with preterm labor, etc. My brother is lazy too, and what doesn't help the fact is that my mom treats him like a baby. He get away with murder. He is only 11, and he comes in from playing at 8:30 - 9:30 pm. I'm 16, and if I go out, I come in at 9:30 - 10:30 pm. It's ridiculous.[cheryl12]

Hm, you know drinking is bad for the baby but your still smoking? I really don't get the justification in that. Anyway, I am not trying to bash you ( I am sure you have heard enough of it ) but I just know too many people who say" well I quit doing drugs when I got preggo" but they still smoke. I do feel bad for your baby though :( it's so sad. Oh and there will be MUCH more of the bothering and fussing..though it will be over your baby...It only gets worse...Like I hate the obligation of having to do family things simply because they all want to see your kid :-/[jennay]

"Everyone is always too focused on finding the meaning of their life..I don't believe there is a meaning. We all live, we all die, we do sh*t inbetween..but everything we do someone else has done." Wow, that made me think a lot.. You're completely right, thank you for the new perspective. My brother and I dropped out of high school due to family problems, and my grandfather had just died of esophogeal cancer. We had to move, and neither of us wanted to go to school here..so we've just decided to get our GED's lol

Everything you said, I can relate to. I'm not that social of a person, so I don't know what to talk about. People who can't stop talking get on my last nerve, except for my dad. I just semi-zone out when he goes on with his rants. My mom thinks she cooks better than me, but I and everyone else who has tasted my cooking disagree with her. All she knows how to cook is shrimp. And I hate shrimp. She doesn't separate her clothes when she washes. She puts it all in the washer at once, if they can fit. Mix a little bleach in, and a lot of detergent, that's how she does it. But anyway, it sounds like things are going well, and you're happy, which is most important.

All my little Raeanna can wear is the newborn size. She is so small most of her newborn outfits are still too large for her. Our biggest problem is the diapers. Question

Sex... Our doctor told us "No more" when I was only 20 weeks along. It can cause cotractions, and since I was already having them at week 20, she said no more. Maybe your body is preparing for labor. How exciting for you to be so close! Congratulations to you both! I hope your Dave doesn't turn into my David (ha ha ha) I liked the comment about him suffereing postpartum, it made me laugh and I really needed to laugh today. Sometimes our discussions can get rather heated... He just doesn't stop and he just won't listen! Men right?!? Maybe I just need to find a constructive way for him to use that energy... Best of luck with the baby! Is this your first then? What are your plans for the delivery? Lastly do you know if it's a boy or girl? We kept the sex of our baby secret (even David didn't know, but I did, I just had to know). Wendy [OneOutOfMany]

Question

i think he's definately wanting to be a mechanic, because it keeps him in the green zone, and once he gets out he'll have experience in something useful. but i think i'll be able to handle him being gone once he leaves. i'll probably stay here at my mom's house so i can get some help one the baby gets here, and so i won't be all alone. i don't quite trust myself to be all alone in our own house yet, seeing as any time i get bored and i'm alone, i end up relapsing. and with the baby, that's the worst thing to do.
and i heard that having sex so close to your due date can make you go into early labor. so you might have your little one sooner than you though!

Seems some men are hell bent on wanting what they want. Your mother's life was more important than to continue pumping babies out until it killed her. My friend doesnt really think about anyone, but herself and it makes me angry that she expects me to put aside my priorities to deal with her. The moment she says Im bored she thinks I'll just say let's go do something. It can piss someone off when one person doesnt seem to understand that you're not responsible for their entertainment and I also have other friends I want to spend time with plus I work in and out of my house. I also agree that you would be a little uncomfortable in someone's house that's dirty and untidy. I was also dismayed at how my friend looked at me when I walked in her basement unaware that her dog urinated on the floor and she said "oh she always does that?" I was like I am not doing this anymore if she wants to see me it's when I say she can see me and when I say she can come over. My friend starts trying to monopolize things because I have a lot of friends I met in college that I want to spend time with since they seem to be on a page of life that my friend isnt on. She makes a lot of excuses for things she should be doing and hypes up how we're best friends and what's dysfunctional about things is that she doesnt really look at the fact that she has a lot of growing up to do. How can you be best friends when the other is super needy? I try not to be harsh, but I have to also keep it real to a certain extent because I can't tolerate the blatant disrespect of some people. I would never subject anyone to visit my home if it's not clean that's a reflection of me as a person. I kind of got the idea that my friend doesnt have people that visit often because they don't want to tell her that her house is nasty and trying to spare her feelings. [HMQueenB]

First, thanks for your comments. I appreciate the input. It's funny, when you say that she's done things a lot of women wouldn't do, I know you're right. But if you never have a steak, and you don't really know if you'd like it, you don't miss it. But once you've had it a couple of times, and know you really like it, that's a different story. Not that you'd want to eat it every day, but every once in a while, on a special occasion or something. So, I honestly believe its better to have never done it than to do it with the intention of it being a "one-time thing." Anyway, enough of that. Congrats on the baby. I am a new uncle, and my wife is due in Jan. Babies, babies everywhere! I love being a dad, and can't understand those who don't. Niether of my wives (I'm married for the second time, previously divorced, I don't currently have two wives) have good relationships with their fathers and I just don't understand it. I don't understand this mindset where so many guys can just divorce themselves from caring about their children. It has to be the most self-centered trait a person could ever have. So I definitely feel for you, and I wish you the best. [jmf1968]

You have to let it go, and just make sure that your child does not have the same relationship with his dad. My mom had a very bad relationship with her mother, and she did not make sure not to have the same relationship with me.I watch birth shows, and what I have come to realize is that people with easy pregnancies have difficult labor, and vice versa. Of course, that is not the case every time. Good luck![cheryl12]

I have PCOS and it makes TTC harder for me. He prescribed them when we
told him we were TTC, he said "It gets you in a good habit of taking
the pill everyday and the folic acid in prenatals help to prevent
certain birth defects." A few books I have on TTC also say to start
taking prenatals while TTC'ing. They make me feel sick a while after
taking them. I'm just going to try to take them for another week and
see how my body responds to it.

I'm taking prenatals because my fiance and I are trying to conceive, my
gynecologist prescribed them. No, I'm not 100% sure if I'm pregnant or
not based on the charting I do; I ovulated, my period is late. Just
incase I am pregnant wouldn't it be a smart thing to do?
I'm not an idiot I know taking prenatal pills doesn't = becoming pregnant.

After her miscarriage I did get her checked out to make sure there wasn't anything still inside her to get infected and such. The vet said she was fine, just to expect bloody discharge, and at the same time I got her booked into a neuter scheme in my area, which only visits once a year around this time in like a portable office type thing. I'm pretty sure she's pregnant, I can feel golf-ball sized lumps in her abdomen and they move around and protrude, especially while she's sleeping.
However you have a valid point and I'll definitely check up on that. Thanks for your advice

im not saying that u should appreciate all mothers. Yes all mothers are unappreciated and i said single mothers specifically because they have it harder and what makes them special is that some prefer not to depend on a man for taking care of their own because some realize that they made the choice themselves. Also with the economy the way it is, the income for a two parent home is waaaay better anyways and the reason why one woman is single is because the father was a big drug dealer who wanted to stay the same way he was and was abusive towards his own family. so in my eyes single mothers are special thats my opinion. I found it funny because you were kind of hoping you were as big as that chick, whereas usually if someone whispers "Am I as big as HER??" they are hoping they aren't.
